From your cPanel dashboard, you will have access to several tools to manage your domain's websites and emails, as well as several other features.
From your cPanel, you can:
- Create and manage your Addon domains and Subdomains.
- Edit your DNS zone file.
- Start creating your website using WordPress or one of the other Softaculous scripts available.
- Create and manage your email accounts.
- Create and manage your FTP accounts.
Domains
From your cPanel, you can access several tools to manage your primary domain, as well as any other Addon Domains. You can also create Subdomains for any of your domains.
DNS
You can manage your domain’s DNS records from your cPanel Zone Editor, provided that you are using our nameservers. This will enable you to utilize several web-based services, including third-party storefronts and email filtering services.
Websites
Use cPanel to create and manage all of your websites. There is a built-in File Manager for editing and uploading files, or you can set up an FTP Account to use an FTP Client to transfer your website files to the server.
If pounding out HTML code isn't your thing, use one of the hundreds of Softaculous scripts to install a website CMS (content management system) that will do the heavy lifting for you. This includes the most common website tools, such as WordPress, Drupal, and Concrete, among others.
If you are looking for a different type of website, there are also scripts for wikis, galleries, and almost anything else you can think of.
Emails
Use your cPanel to create and manage all of your domain’s email accounts.
From the Email Accounts app, you can:
- Create emails
- Change passwords
- Log in to the accounts directly
- Create mailing lists
- Create forwarders and aliases
- Manage spam settings
- Set up and manage calendars
- Set up and manage contact lists
- Set up mailbox encryption
So much more!
There is so much you can do within your cPanel that it's impossible to list it all here. Luckily, there are websites and guides available that can help you with any services not covered here. The cPanel forums and blogs are always a good source of information, as is the cPanel YouTube channel.
